Perfect Blend Kit
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I over spray with the Perfect Blend?
While it is unlikely that you will harms your plants with the Perfect Blend, it does contain a fertilizer with NPK (nitrogen, potassium, and potash). Too much nitrogen could burn the plant’s leaves.
Can I use the Perfect Blend as a soil drench?
Yes, however, it is designed to work as a foliar feed. We recommend spraying the plant and can pour remaining mixture in the soil.
How do I apply the Perfect Blend to my house plants?
Spray-N-Grow can be lightly misted on plants inside your home, but if possible, we recommend putting them in your tub or sink to catch the run-off. If your plant is too large to move or you have too many plants, you can pour the Perfect Blend into the soil. (We do not recommend spraying the Bills Perfect Fertilizer in the house as it smells a bit fishy)
How long is the Perfect Blend usable once mixed?
You need to use the Perfect Blend within 4-6 hours after mixing.
I have new plants from the nursery, when can I spray them with the Perfect Blend for the first time?
You will need to wait 5 – 7 days from the day you receive them. The reason for this is that the nursery may have used a fungicide or a pesticide on the plant and you do not want Spray-N-Grow to react with these products.
How many days do I need to wait to use other products?
When using a chemical product, we recommend waiting 5 – 7 days before or after using the Perfect Blend. When using an organic product wait 2 – 3 days before and after using the Perfect Blend.
Can you use the Perfect Blend in an Aquaponic system?
Yes, you can apply it to the leaves. Do not pour leftover product into the system. Spray every 3-4 weeks.
How often do I spray Perfect Blend?
We suggest applying the Perfect Blend every 1-3 weeks.
How to mix the Perfect Blend Kit
Mixing a Quart (32 oz.)
1-quart lukewarm water (80°-100° F)
1/8 tsp. Coco-Wet
2 tsp. Spray-N-Grow
1 tsp. Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer
Mixing a Gallon (128 oz.)
1-gallon lukewarm water (80°-100°F)
1/2 tsp. Coco-Wet
2 tbsp. Spray-N-Grow
1 tbsp. Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer
Mixing Instructions
Pour warm water into sprayer. Add Coco-Wet, then Spray-N-Grow micronutrients to water. Allow mixture to sit for 15 minutes. As the water sits you will notice that color changes from clear water to yellow (could range from very light to golden). If this does not happen, see “Check your water” below. This color change indicates the Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients has activated. Add Bill's Perfect Fertilizer.
Check Your Water
After adding Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients to warm water, wait a couple of minutes and check to see if there has been a color change from that of clear to yellow (could range from very light yellow to golden) indicating that Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients has been activated. This color change may be very slight, and it may be hard to detect. Compare it to a glass of water (set them side by side on a white sheet of paper). If the color change has not taken place, add a “pinch” of baking soda, mix, and wait a couple of minutes. Check the color again. If it still has not changed color, repeat this step until you see a color change. (Remember, the color change may be slight). Normally 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda per gallon is enough, but in extreme situations, it may require up to 1 tablespoon of baking soda per gallon.
